About Milanos

Milano's was established by husband and wife team Ian and Linzi Spence. The factory is situated in the Garden Route town of George, South Africa, overlooking the fynbos covered Outeniqua mountains. This area is famed for its beauty and its honey which is the main ingredient in our nougat. Our initial plan was to manufacture a soft Italian nougat, which we felt, was missing in the South African market place. Nougat has been a beloved Italian tradition for over a century and since our family has an Italian background we had the right resources to come up with the perfect recipe. The result is a soft nougat with a superb blend of natural flavours, namely locally produced honey, roasted almonds and hazelnuts and sweet glace cherries. We do not use any preservatives or gelatine.
